Epic FishingAug Had a fantastic day’s fishing at the Mokes on RnR. From booking the trip with Stef, to being on board with Wayne, it was a fantastic experience. Wayne is an awesome skipper with decades of knowledge who put us on the fish at every spot we tried. The boat is so comfortable, with plenty of space to fish and shelter to get out of the sun. 2 Days at the Mokes
Aug Thanks to Wayne and Steff we had the most amazing 2 days at the Mokos.We started the charter around 4 pm and arrived at the Mokes around 6pm. We anchored in a little bay to get ready for a days fishing the next day.After dinner and a little fish getting some live baits. Most of the boys headed to bed in the spacious cabin.I spent a few hours fishing in 5 meters of water and had a ripping time on 2-4kg snapper and a few grandfather fish. Totally unexpected but such fun.Next morning we headed for a spot Skipper Wayne said was usually full of fish. Yep it was with all 6 of us landing good snapper.He had a couple of Kingfish runs on pilchards so we put a live bait out. Not long after the bait was smashed by a 20 plus kg King and a good fight ensured. After 30 mins we landed a nice King.All in all we had a great time with lots of laughs and healthy competition.We returned to port with enough fish to feed our touring party of 35 and a few hungry hostel guests.Highly recommend RnR charters and we will be back soon.Rod from Oz

Great days fishing with RnRMay Fantastic days fishing. The boat can fish five comfortably and is great design, with some shelter from the sun. Wayne was knowledgeable and helpful skipper; very professional. Would highly recommend this charter.

Took my nephew on a magic fishing tripJanWent to the mokes to get my nephew his first yellowtail kingfish.
He had the time of his life and caught a really good kingi. Great trip again, I always value Wayne's advice.

Where are my arms?Mar Fished the 'Mokes' with laconic skipper Wane, caught and returned so many Kingfish, snapper and Trevalli that I lost all feeling in my arms next day! A must for the serious angler.

RnR delivers... again!
R'n'R delivers... again!MarI've been lucky enough to get out on R'n'R to the Mokohinau Islands once a year for about 5 years.
Every trip has been excellent, and each has been different from the trip before.
The Mokes is a wild place with a great fishery. Wayne knows the spots that work best in the different conditions, and is always keen to put us on the fish - sometimes repositioning the boat ever-so-slightly when he wasn't happy with the way the boat ended up hanging when at anchor.
Wayne is a really professional, knowledgeable skipper and guide. He doesn't tend to say too much, but what he says is really worth listening to! He's been really helpful in teaching us his techniques for baiting the hooks and playing fish. He's got a great dry sense of humour, and we liked the classic rock soundtrack on the boat!
R'n'R is fast and solid, and provides a great fishing platform for 4-5 serious fishos.
I'm looking forwards to my next trip! johnnyA_NZ

Great Charter would thoroughly recommend itMarI have used RnR to go to the Mokes every year for the last seven years. Wayne is a top bloke and always puts us on the big fish. I thoroughly recommend this charter.

RnR Above n Beyond
RnR Above n BeyondMarI have been out on RnR twice in 2014 and many times previously. We have never been disappointed and on many occassions been amazed at Wayne's knowledge of the Mokohinau Islands and the Hen n Chicks. It is almost as if he can picture it without water. I have been fishing for over 50 years and I would not have come across a charter skipper any better in their area than Wayne.The fishing is not easy. You are generally targeting XOS snapper using strayline rigs with extremely light weight - it is tough but emensely rewarding when successful. Wayne doesn't mince words. He is very very helpful but doesnt push it if you refuse to listen. He will put you in places where big fish feed which of course does not guarantee success. Although there are days when the fish just aren't biting, inevitably, it is the lack of experience of the angler that is the issue.
The boat is ideally suited for 4, although we have always taken 6 without problem.
Wayne's better half, Stef is fantastic and so helful at getting all the back office stuff taken care of.
In summary, you are fishing with the best in one of New Zealand's special fishing spots. Don't miss the opportunity.
