Hen and Chicks

Handy to Mangawhai, the Hen and Chicks Islands are wildlife sanctuaries managed by the Department of Conservation. Landing ashore is not allowed, however they make a great cruising destination and are just 45 min to the furtherest point of the Chickens group of Islands. The Hen is just a 30 min cruise and Sail Rock even closer. Half day or full day trips.Explore the Outer Hauraki Gulf islands aboard RnR.
